Questions families ask

What if someone doesn't contribute?
If someone has not added anything before the contribution window closes, you can add a message for them or approve the postcard with the updates already received. A postcard with no family update is never printed or mailed.
Can each household get a different postcard?
Yes. Every recipient household can receive its own combination of photos and messages.
What if Grandma and Grandpa live together?
They count as one recipient household and receive one shared postcard, at no additional household charge.
When does the first postcard mail?
The first contribution prompts go out the day after onboarding. The postcard is printed only after you finish reviewing and approve it.
Can I edit or skip a postcard before it mails?
Yes. Before approval, you can edit the postcard or skip any recipient for the current cycle. To change a skip choice after approval, reopen the postcard before its print cutoff and approve it again. Skip is not a send-date picker.
How does cancelling work?
Monthly plans can be cancelled before the next billing period. Annual plans continue until the end of the paid term.

Getting the family to contribute

How do contributors send their photos and messages?
The account holder shares a private family contribution link. Each person verifies their mobile number, then adds a photo and a line of news in the browser. There is no app to install and no account password to remember.
Does everyone need an account?
No. Contributors use the private family link and a verified, revocable session. The account holder can also write an update on behalf of a family member.
Can young children take part?
Yes, and they are often the most reliable contributors because the ask is small. For children under 13 the prompt goes to a parent or guardian, who submits on the child's behalf. Children never need an account or a login of their own.
What happens if nobody replies?
The account holder can add an update for someone who has not replied. If the window closes with nothing submitted, no postcard is printed or mailed — an empty card is never sent.

The postcard and the people receiving it

Does the grandparent need a smartphone, an app or an account?
No. They receive a printed postcard in the mail. Nothing to install, nothing to log into, nothing that expires or needs updating. The entire technology burden stays on the sending side of the family.
What size is the postcard?
Each postcard is 4×6 inches, printed on card stock, with photos and messages on it from the family members who contributed that month.
How is the address handled?
You enter each recipient household's mailing address during setup and we validate it. The mailing area of the card is reserved for the postal service, so nothing you add is ever printed over it.

Billing and cancellation

What is included in the price?
Printing and postage are included. The plan price covers up to five contributors and one recipient household, plus private contribution links, photo uploads and handwriting-style selection.
Is there a contract or a minimum term?
No. Monthly plans can be cancelled before the next billing period. Annual plans continue until the end of the term you have paid for.
What if I want to skip a month?
Before approval, you can skip any recipient for the current postcard. Skipping everyone records an explicit no-send cycle. To change that choice after approval, reopen the postcard before its print cutoff and approve it again.

Privacy

Who can see our family's photos and messages?
Only your family and the people you mail postcards to. Photos and handwriting are kept in private storage, are never made public, and are not used to advertise the service or to train machine-learning models.
How does someone stop receiving the texts?
Reply STOP to any message from us and the prompts to that number stop immediately, regardless of the account holder's settings. You can also email us and we will remove the number.
