How to send postcards online in about a minute

To send a postcard online with FamilyLetter, make a real 4x6 photo postcard in your browser. We print it, add postage and mail it.

  1. Add up to four photos from your phone or computer: JPG, PNG, HEIC or WebP. They fill the front edge to edge.
  2. Write your message and pick a font, handwriting-style or plain type.
  3. Add stickers or a back design, if you like.
  4. Check the front and back preview. What you see there is what prints.
  5. Choose how many cards, one to ten, and pay.
  6. Tell us where each card goes; each can go to a different US address.
  7. We print it, put the postage on and mail it USPS First-Class.

What happens after you mail a postcard online

Nothing prints until you pay. Until then, swap any photo or word you like.

Within one to two business days we print the card, add the postage and hand it to USPS First-Class Mail.

From order to mailbox usually takes 5 to 10 business days. We can't guarantee a date; once it's mailed, USPS sets the pace.

If a card is lost or arrives damaged, email us within 60 days. We print it and mail it again, free.

  • What if it's lost? We reprint and mail it free if you email within 60 days.

Is there an online postcard mailing service?

Yes. FamilyLetter is an online postcard service: you make a real 4x6 photo postcard in your browser, and we print it, add the postage and mail it USPS First-Class.

How do I send a postcard online as a real printed card?

Add photos, write your message, check the front and back, and pay. Then give the address; we print the 4x6 card and mail it.

Can I send a postcard online for free?

No. The price covers printing and postage, with free shipping on every order. Building and previewing cost nothing; you pay only at checkout.

How long does a postcard sent online take to arrive?

Usually 5 to 10 business days: printed within 1 to 2, then USPS First-Class. We can't guarantee a date.

Do I need an app or an account?

No. You make the card in your browser, with nothing to sign up for. The recipient needs nothing either.

Can I send postcards to several people at different addresses?

Yes. Order up to ten cards at once, then give each one its own US address after you pay.

What if I send postcards often?

The Postcard Club is a membership you pay monthly or yearly. Every card costs the member price, and your addresses are saved, so sending again takes a few taps.

What if the postcard never arrives?

Email support within 60 days and we print and mail it again for free. Same for a card that arrives damaged.
