How does FamilyLetter work?
Add up to four photos, write your message and pick a handwriting style. You see the finished postcard, front and back, as you build it. Choose how many to send, check out, and then tell us where each one goes. We print it and mail it for you.
What exactly do I get?
A real 4×6 photo postcard, printed in full color. Your photos cover the front edge to edge, and your message is printed on the back in the handwriting style you picked. We address it, add the postage and mail it straight to the person you're sending it to.
How long does it take to make one?
About a minute for one postcard. If you're making several different cards, give yourself a few minutes more.
Can I preview and approve it before it's printed?
Yes. The preview is drawn to the real print layout, so what you see is what gets printed. Nothing is printed until you've checked out. The space for the address and postage is kept clear for the post office, so nothing you add ever gets covered.
Do I need an account or app?
No. You make the whole card here in your browser, with no app to download and no sign-up to see the preview. The person you send it to doesn't need anything either. It just shows up in their mailbox.
How good is the print quality?
Your photos are printed in rich, full color on thick 4×6 card stock with a glossy finish. Everyday phone photos look great. Pick ones with good light and faces that are easy to see.
Is postage included?
Yes. We add the stamp and mail it, so there's nothing to buy and nothing to take to the post office. Orders of 3 or more postcards ship free. Smaller orders pay a flat $4.00 for shipping.
How long does delivery take?
Usually 5 to 10 business days from your order to their mailbox. We print within one to two business days, then it travels by USPS First-Class Mail. We can't guarantee a delivery date, and it can take a little longer when orders are high or during the holidays.
What if it gets lost or damaged?
We'll print it and mail it again for free. Email support@familyletter.io within 60 days and tell us which card it was.
Are my photos private?
Yes. Your photos and message are used only to make and mail your postcard. We never sell them, never use them in ads and never use them to train AI. They're kept in private storage and shared only with our printer, so it can print your card. You can email us any time to have them deleted.
