Who mails Christmas cards for you?

We do. You make the card here, pay, and give us the address. We print it, add the postage and mail it.

The person getting it needs nothing but a mailbox.

  • You: pick the photos, write the note, type the address
  • Us: print it, stamp it, hand it to USPS First-Class Mail

What you don't have to do

The point of a Christmas card mailing service is the list of errands it takes off yours:

  • No box of cards, when you only needed two
  • No stamps to buy, and no guessing at postage
  • No envelopes to stuff, seal or address by hand
  • No trip to the post office, and no December line once you're there

Send a single Christmas card

There's no minimum. One card is a whole order, and shipping is free even on one.

It's made for the one card that has to go out: Grandma in her new apartment, the uncle who moved to Arizona, your college roommate.

Got more people? Add up to ten cards to one order, each to its own US address.

How much do Christmas cards cost to send?

Mailing it yourself? A postcard stamp is 65¢, and a card in an envelope takes a Forever stamp, 82¢ (USPS, October 2026).

Then add the box of cards and the trip to buy stamps. Here, the postage is already in the price.

Mailing a stack of your own? Our postcard stamp calculator adds up the postage and the delivery days.

It's a postcard, and that's the point

The card is a 4x6 photo postcard. It doesn't fold, and there's no envelope.

Your photos fill the front. Your note, the postage and their address share the back.

Want a folded card with a printed verse inside? We're not it. Want your kids' faces in their mailbox? We are.

Mailing a card to a parent in a care home

Put the room or unit number in the apartment line of the address, so the front desk knows whose card it is.

A postcard has nothing to open. Whoever hands out the mail can pass it straight to them.

Missed the Christmas order-by date?

Order anyway if you like, but we can't promise it lands before Christmas.

Or make it a New Year card instead. The safe order-by date for New Year is a week later.

Start from our New Year photo postcards: the card opens on a Happy New Year! banner and a firework.

How Christmas cards mailed for you work

Writing to the whole family list, a different note each? Start with Christmas postcards with a note each instead.

  1. Add up to four photos and write your note.
  2. See the exact front and back. Nothing prints until you check out.
  3. Pay, then enter the address for each card.
  4. We print it in 1 to 2 business days and send it USPS First-Class Mail.

What the card looks like

Card front with four photos: a baby in a Santa hat by the tree, a big sister hugging the baby, a dad pulling a sled, a family selfie on a snowy porch
Baby's first Christmas, for Grandma
Card back on the Snowflakes pattern with a note to Grandma, a Miss you! sticker, a holly sticker and the address box
The back: note, postage, address
Card front with one full-size photo of a big sister hugging her baby brother on the couch in plaid pajamas, with a Merry Christmas! sticker
One photo, one person

When to order

Christmas is Dec 25. To be safe, order by Dec 10.

Sending for a birthday or a holiday? Please allow up to 15 days. USPS can run a little slow, especially in December.

Most cards arrive in 5 to 10 business days: we print within 1 to 2 business days, then it travels by USPS First-Class Mail. We can’t guarantee a delivery date.

Questions about mailing Christmas cards

Is it a folded card in an envelope?

No. It's a real 4x6 photo postcard, full color and glossy, with no fold and no envelope. Photos go on the front; your note and the address go on the back.

Where can I get Christmas cards printed and mailed for me?

Right here. Design a photo postcard in your browser, pay, and enter the address. FamilyLetter prints it, adds the postage and mails it, with free shipping on every order.

Can I send a single Christmas card?

Yes. One card is a full order, $9.99 with free shipping on every order. An order can hold up to ten cards, each going to its own US address.

Is it too late to mail a Christmas card?

Allow up to 15 days in December, so December 10 is the safe last day. After that we can't promise Christmas, and a New Year card is a good fallback.

Do I need an account or an app?

No. Make the card in your browser, pay, and add the address. The person getting it doesn't need anything.

What if the card gets lost in the mail?

Email us within 60 days and we print and mail it again, free.
