    Elijah P.

Holiday postcards for the whole season

December is more than one holiday. A holiday postcard can say Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year, or just winter, from your own photos.

In a family that celebrates both, make a Hanukkah card for one side and a Christmas card for the other. Both fit in one order.

Tap Create another postcard for the second design. An order can carry ten cards in total.

Hanukkah photo postcards

Start on the Stars back. Add a menorah, a dreidel or gelt, and a Happy Hanukkah! banner across the bottom.

Hanukkah moves every year, so check this year's order-by date below before you start.

  • Happy Hanukkah! We lit the first candle and thought of you.
  • Eight nights, one dreidel champion. She won't let us forget it.
  • Chag sameach from all of us. The latkes were worth the smoke alarm.

Non-religious holiday postcards

For a card that skips religion entirely, use the Snowflakes back with a Happy holidays sticker, a snowman or a Let it snow banner.

Then write about the year, not the holiday.

  • Happy holidays. The kids grew two inches each. See you in spring?
  • Warm wishes from a very cold porch. Hope your winter is kind.
  • Happy holidays from the four of us and one very spoiled dog.

A New Year card instead of a Christmas card

A New Year card works for everyone on the list. You can also order it a week later than a Christmas card.

Use a firework, a noisemaker or a disco ball, plus a Happy New Year! or Cheers to you! sticker.

There's a whole page of New Year photo postcards if that's the plan.

Season's greetings for coworkers and neighbors

For people you know less well, keep the photo general and the message short. A wintry view or the dog works fine.

  • Season's greetings from your neighbors at number 12.
  • Thanks for a great year on the team. Happy holidays!
  • Happy holidays, and thanks for always waving from the porch.

Sending to more than ten people

Each order holds up to ten cards, so a longer list just means placing a second order.

If you send cards all year, the Postcard Club saves your addresses, so the next card takes a few taps.

Only Christmas this year, with a different note for each person? Start from Christmas postcards, one note each.

For one card to one person with nothing to stamp, there's Christmas cards mailed for you.

Sending in November too? Thanksgiving postcards from fall photos go out the same way.

Holiday postcard questions

What is a holiday postcard?

A photo card for the December holidays that skips the envelope. Your photos fill the front; your message and their address share the back. We print it 4x6 on glossy stock and mail it.

Can I make a Hanukkah or non-Christmas holiday card?

Yes. The builder has Hanukkah stickers (menorah, dreidel, gelt, Happy Hanukkah), New Year stickers, a Stars back and a Happy holidays sticker for any celebration.

When should I order holiday postcards?

Allow up to 15 days before the holiday, since USPS can run a little slow in December. Hanukkah's date moves each year, so check it first.

What do you write on a holiday postcard?

Two or three lines: one piece of news from this year and a warm sign-off. For example: "Happy holidays. The kids grew two inches each. See you in spring?"

Can one order mix Hanukkah and Christmas cards?

Yes. Make a separate postcard for each design. One order holds up to ten cards, and each one goes to its own US address.

How much do holiday postcards cost?

$9.99 for one card, $24.99 for three and $59.99 for ten, so each card costs less as the order grows. The card, the postage and the mailing are all in that price, with free shipping on every order.
